Africa

Did you know that primary school enrollment is free and guaranteed in the majority of the continent, having reached 80%?

Africa stands as a region with vast amounts of opportunities for educational intervention. The main challenges revolve around connectivity and lack of resources for students. In fact, according to UNESCO, only 34% of households have access to the internet and around 89% of learners do not have access to a computer at home, making the digital divide a major obstacle to learning continuity.

Ever since the covid-19 pandemic began, the African region has become one of the top priorities of agencies like UNESCO launching initiatives such as the Global Education Coalition (GEC) that works on 66 projects in 39 African countries.
